Puma evoPOWER 1.3 Camo

Puma has deemed us worthy of a new boot update, and that means a new camo creation.  The Puma evoPOWER 1.3 has made its way into the world, but it will still be another month before we get an up-close and personal look at all the new tech.  For now, we have to enjoy the power boot’s update through a mass of blue and white stripes.

While the question of how many more camo colorways Puma still has in the bank for these creations is something that we’re quite curious about, the newest evoPOWER has a lot of intrigue behind it.  The initial evoPOWER is still one of our favorite releases over the last few years, and, although the 1.2 wasn’t quite as highly praised as its predecessor, the last incarnation leaves some big boots to fill (pun intended).

One of the few things we can tell from the camo version is that the soleplate has undergone some changes.  While the evoPOWER 1.1 and 1.2 carried the same stud set-up, this new version is an interesting departure.  Considering how the soleplate was one of the best aspects of the evoPOWER, it will be interesting to see if this new pattern is nearly as successful.  The one thing that really has us scratching our heads is the mis-match of blades and conical studs in the heel, but it comes as no surprise that Puma would be taking a risk with their boots.

We also can see that the shooting element is going to stretch all the way from the toe-box through the bulk of the inbox.  The rest of our staring at this boot merely resulted in a mild headache, but we are definitely excited to see what is on offer with the new evoPOWER 1.3.  Keep an eye out for an official colorway release in January, and for all the evoPOWER players to be rocking the Camo colorway during the holidays.  Puma appears to be taking the first big stab at 2016, so we cannot wait to see what the rest of the new year holds.
