Nike Tiempo Legend Premier Pack

Nike has released what is one of their coolest packs of the year today with the Tiempo Legends pack for the Nike Premier. The pack includes 5 colorways that pay homage to older Tiempo Legends that have been popular over the years. I personally think this is an awesome release from Nike and something that I wish Nike would implement more into other boots.

The first colorway is Metallic Summit White and Team Red Metallic Silver, that is made to commemorate the Air Legend 2 which was released back in 2008. Nike added the “Est 1972” to reference the year Nike was founded as a company.

The original Nike Air Legend gets its own colorway with the Metallic Summit White and Blue Sapphire Metallic Silver. I like the look of this one as my high school’s colors were Blue and White. This would look perfect with the old White and Blue uniforms. Nike athlete Carlos Tevez is a fan of the colorway.

The Black, White, and Total Orange colorway is made for the Legend IV Elite, which was released in 2011. This one may be a fan favorite for players who bought the Legend IV because of the similar look the Premier gives to the original. Andrea Pirlo of NYCFC is a big fan of these as he used to wear the old Tiempo in this colorway.

Here is my favorite one of the pack, the Black and White Premier is made in the color scheme of the Legend IV Elite that was released in 2012. A cool added feature is the “RGB 000” found on the sole plate which is the color code for Black. Jerome Boateng seems to be a fan of the new boots, according Nike Soccer’s Twitter. I love that Nike had some of their top Tiempo wearers model the cleats.

Last but not least, Gerard Pique’s favorite Premier colorway, in Black, White, and Electric Green. This color is a popular Tiempo Legend IV, which was unveiled in 2013. It brings some attention-grabbing green accents.

The Premier is the K-Leather boot that Nike created to compete with the adidas Copa Mundial. The Premier is lighter and has a softer feel than the Copa to give a classic fit and feel with more modern technology to attract more modern players. The sockliner is molded to help keep the comfort level high as well as having a soleplate that is more traditional to have little to no stud pressure.
