The Seattle superstar has been a fan favorite since joining the league in 2013. Seattle have been one of the most exciting teams to watch in the MLS, because of Obafemi. The Nigerian has been all over the globe playing soccer in his days, starting his young career at 15 years old in Nigerian club FC Ededei’s youth academy. Only one year later, he made the move across the pond to Serie C side A.C. Reggiana. He only managed to make two appearances before moving on to Italian giants, Inter Milan. He would then spend two years in the academy before moving into the first team. Making his debut in the 2002/03 season, his Inter Milan career would continue to grow until players like Crespo and Zlatan made their way to the San Siro.

At 22 years old, he moved in a 15 million euro move to Newcastle United in the EPL. He would find another successful spell at the new club, but moved on after another three years at the senior level. Martins would then struggle to find a home by playing for four different clubs over the next four seasons.
