One of the steal signings of the summer was undoubtedly Bayern Munich new boy Douglas Costa. The Brazilian has been on a tear since joining the German champions from Shakhtar Donetsk. Costa was a Grêmio academy graduate and made a dream debut in the Brazilian league by scoring against Botafogo as an 18-year-old. The next season, he was unable to find more playing time but was attracting interest from abroad. Only 2 seasons into his professional career, he completed the move to Ukraine with Shakhtar Donetsk bringing the player in during the January transfer window in the 2010 season.

While at Shakhtar, he just could not stop winning trophies and was attracting more and more clubs during his time at the club. Now a Bayern player, Costa has solidified himself in the incredibly talented Bayern Munich lineup. Costa has only recently come into the Brazilian national team fold and seems to be a first team choice for the South American country.
