Eden Hazard was born in a small town called Braine-le-Comte. When he was four, he had slipped onto the field of Royal Stade Brainois, a 5th division Belgian team near his house. Hazard was about to be in trouble with the club’s GM when the man started noticing something special about the boy. Every penalty he took was flying into the top corner. He was doing all of this with a real ball and no shoes or socks on his feet. After developing in his youth career at the club, and also at 2nd division club Tubize, Hazard made the move to Lille and made his first team debut in 2007.

In 2008, he would start to become a household name in France. He won back-to-back Ligue 1 Young Player of Year awards and Lille won the league and the French Cup in 2010-11. That season, Hazard (7 goals, 8 assists) was handed the French Player of the Year award. After another great season in the 2011-12 season, Hazard was purchased for 32 million pounds by Chelsea.
