Barcelona are known to have some of the best attackers and midfielders in the world on their roster. But one of the best players on their team could be their tall Spanish centerback Pique. Mr. Shakira plays in the middle of the defense for Barcelona but has played for English giants Manchester United. At 17 years old, United signed Pique from Barcelona youth academy La Masia. After only 3 weeks in Manchester, Pique made his debut for the Red Devils. He struggled to make first team appearances consistently for the club and in 2006, He went out on loan to Real Zaragoza. Where he grew and helped the club reach a 6th place finish in La Liga.

He played one more year for United before returning home to Barcelona, for only 5 million euros! What a bargain for the Catalan giants! During his time at Barcelona (so far) he and his fellow defensemen have broken the record for fewest amount of goals scored against in a La Liga season with their record now being at 19 goals in 37 matches.
