Would you believe me if I told you that Oxlade-Chamberlain was only 22 years old? It feels as if the youngster has been in the Premier League forever at this point. But the young Englishmen started his career off in the historic Southampton academy. He played through various youth levels before getting his debut at just 16 years of age. He was the second youngest debutant for Southampton ever behind future Arsenal teammate, Theo Walcott.

Even though he was able to get in at 16, he only made two appearances for a combined 13 minutes. The following season he made a name for himself in the league. Scoring 8 goals and 8 assists started the rumors off that some Premier League giants were getting ready to bring in the young lad. Arsenal jumped and signed the winger for 12-15 million pounds. Even though it was a massive price tag for a youngster, he was not immediately thrown into the first team. Since joining the Gunners, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been fantastic for the London club.
