Unless you have been living under a rock, you have probably been hearing Gio Reyna's name a lot recently. The son of "Captain America" has had a meteoric rise. In the summer of 2019, Reyna signed with Borussia Dortmund and joined their U-19 side at the tender age of 16. By the end of 2019 he was promoted the first team. In the months since his promotion, Reyna has featured for Dortmund in the Bundesliga, and Champion's League round of 16. He also scored a wonder goal in the DFB-Pokal. The quick succession of accomplishments led to a call up to the USMNT. March would mark that first time that Reyna would pull on the USMNT Jersey for the full national team. Of course, that was all put on ice with the global pandemic. We'll have to wait to see Reyna take the pitch again, but one thing is for sure, when he does make his debut, it will be full of anticipation. Reyna has been billed as the next wonder kid for some time now, and based on recent performances, he's ready for the limelight.
