Ashley Cole

Another star is moving to LA. The Galaxy are signing the former English international after Cole terminated the final year of his contract at Roma. He is in elite company among English players, with over 100 international caps for the Three Lions. Now he is going to LA, where stars are plentiful.

Ramires

Ramires is headed to China. He will be joining Jiangsu Suning of the Chinese Super League. The Brazilian has fallen out of favor at Chelsea and has decided to move on to another phase in his career. China has been in a race to attract aging stars in order up their profile, and they have had quite a bit off success luring players.

Mostly Done

Matt Miazga

Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga

Miazga has expressed a desire to test himself in Europe, and now he is getting his chance. NY Red Bulls have decided to sell the player before his contract is out next year. Chelsea are the suitors who are clamoring for the young defenders talents. He also has a Polish passport, bypassing the traditional work permit problems Americans usually face. It will be interesting to see how Miazga adjusts to life across the pond.

Alexandre Pato

Alexandre Pato

Chelsea is buying. In addition to Miazga, they are bringing in Alexandre Pato on loan. Some thought that the Blues might buy the player outright, but it seems that a loan is being arranged. The striker cut his chops in Serie A, where he was very successful before returning to Brazil. Now he is taking another crack at the highest level, while still only 26 years old.

Names Floating Around

Daniel Sturridge

The oft-injured forward has been rumored to be on the way out of Liverpool. The club has bought two strikers relatively recently (Benteke, Firmino), and his services may not be needed any longer. Former manager Brendan Rodgers insists that Sturridge is needed at the club, but he is not the decision maker anymore. No imminent offers have been made, but moves can come out of seemingly nowhere.

Saido Berahino

His disagreements with West Brom are well documented and well known. So it is no surprise that his name is popping up as a possibility to make a move. Tottenham have tried to sign him before, and are supposedly gathering funds to make another offer. Spurs could use another attacker, so it would make a lot of sense if Berahino made the move to White Hart Lane. For now though, no offers have been made in this window.

Louis Van Gaal

LVG can’t seem to stay out of the news. There are rumors that he offered his resignation, something that he has since denied. Something that cannot be denied is that the pressure is on for the manager, as results have not been up to par for the club. Should there be another downturn, LVG might be back on the market.
