Done Deals

Mario Balotelli

Balotelli loaned from Liverpool

It looked like Watford might have been interested, but AC Milan have snapped up the Italian on a loan deal. Brendan Rodgers has made it clear that Balotelli is not in his plans, so this seems like a positive move for both the club and the player. There is no option on the player, so Liverpool might call Balotelli back to Anfield if he finds his form and starts scoring a bunch of goals.

Juan Cuadrado

Well, the Colombian winger is headed back to Italy. Despite moving to Chelsea during the January window, the club has decided to loan Cuadrado out for the season. Juventus snapped at the opportunity to bring the player back to Italy. He has plenty of experience in Serie A, so this is not a true test. This deal is a bit weird, but it does make sense if he is not in Jose Mourinho’s plans.

Alen Halilovic

The young 19-year-old Croatian has been hailed as the replacement for Lionel Messi at Barcelona when the star decides to move on. Halilovic has been wanting some first team game time, and loan seemed to be the best option. Sporting de Gijon beat out Hamburg and West Ham for the player. It is believed that Barcelona had a guarantee that Halilovic would play in 60% of the clubs league matches. Sporting Gijon took the chance before the other clubs, and Halilovic will stay in La Liga.

Looks Close

Son Heung-Min

A bit of an under-the-radar move, but Tottenham have apparently put in an 18 million euro bid for the 23-year-old South Korean. It seems that Bayer Leverkusen are willing to part with the player, as he is reportedly having a medical in London. He has been in the Bundesliga since 2008, playing at Hamburg before moving to Leverkusen in 2013. He can play as midfield winger or as a forward. Spurs desperately need some cover for Harry Kane, they seem to have found their man in Son.

Interesting Rumor

Erik Lamela

The Argentine midfielder has never really settled with Spurs, and now his agent has confirmed talks with Inter Milan. He played for Roma in Serie A, so perhaps a move back to Italy might help revive his career. Porto have also been linked to Lamela, but Inter seem to have the pole position right now. His time with Spurs has been mired by injuries and poor form, and it seems the club is ready to part ways.

Back On The Crazy Train

Gareth Bale

Apparently the media have had their fun with other rumors, and this Gareth Bale rumor has made its way back around. Now, that isn’t to say that United haven’t always wanted Bale, because they have. Real Madrid have made it pretty clear they aren’t going to let him go. But alas, you never know with the David De Gea situation.
