Nike Drops a No-Nonsense Home Kit for 22/23

For the 2022/2023 season, Nike and Liverpool Football Club join forces to create a jersey the embraces “Scouse solidarity”. This mentality of hard work and togetherness is one of the reasons Liverpool has been performing so well over the last several seasons. This unique mindset is reflected in a more traditional looking jersey with a red base and darker red accents. You could say that Liverpool is extra reddy… I mean… ready, for next season in the new look. A new iteration of the Dri Fit ADV technology is used on the shirt, making it breathable and comfortable all game long. The pattern itself has an anatomical design that features more ventilation in areas that require more breathability. All of this sees the sponsors and branding in white, to really make it jump off the plain base color.

You Never Walk Alone

There are some details on the new shirt for Liverpool that make it very classy, one of these details features YNWA branding on the sleeve cuffs. “You Never Walk Alone” is a song that rings out at Anfield during match days reflecting that Scouse solidarity. Another detail is on the back of the neck. A ’97’ supported by the Eternal Flames serves as a reminder of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster (it was 96 previously, but they identified another victim). For such a big club, Liverpool really makes you feel like a part of a community. When you throw on the Liverpool red, you truly never walk alone. Nike has made the match jersey of 100% recycled plastic bottles as part of Nike’s “Move to Zero” initiative.

You can catch the likes of Trent Alexander Arnold, Virgil, Mo Salah and company in the new shirt next season as they attempt to win absolutely everything! They will certainly have their sights set on the Premier League as well as the Champions League next year, and if this previous year is any indication, they might just do it.
