Mateo Kovacic

Real signs Kovacic

Real Madrid scoop up another budding star in the form of Croatian Mateo Kovacic. Inter Milan didn’t want to let him go, but the 32 million euro fee was just too good to pass up. He signed a 6-year deal with the Spanish super club, ensuring the move is for the long haul. The rich get richer at Real Madrid, while Inter will look to replace the budding star.

Deal Looks Close

Tim Ream

Bolton are looking to cash in on their American. QPR and Fulham are the two teams who have been bidding for Ream’s services. QPR was the first to get a bid worthy of Bolton’s asking price, but reports are surfacing that Fulham have matched the bid. It seems to be the choice of Ream as to where he goes, which at the moment looks like Fulham. If true, he will join fellow Americans Emerson Hyndman and Luca de la Torre.

After stating that he would look for first team time at Arsenal, it seems like the American teen will be headed to Scotland on loan. Rangers have taken a few loanees this window, and seem to be keen on adding the young attacking midfielder to the fold. Americans have done well at the club prior to their forced relegation in 2012. This should be a great opportunity for the youngster to toughen up in the physical Scottish Championship.

Interesting Developments

Mario Balotelli

Brendan Rogers has come out with some odd statements about Balotelli’s position with the club. Add in the fact that the club bought Christian Benteke, and you have a formula that suggests Balotelli isn’t wanted at Anfield. There are rumors circulating about that Watford are interested in the controversial Italian. Balotelli is still pretty young, but a change of scenery might do him a lot of good.

Pedro

What was once a choice between Barcelona or Manchester United has become a trifecta with Chelsea entering the fold. The Blues have allegedly surpassed United’s offer and are looking to sign Pedro before the window closes. This has become one of the more interesting moves, and we will be watching this situation very closely.

Emmanuel Adebayor

Tottenham have been wanting to offload the striker, and it seems West Ham are the suitors who have been calling recently. Aston Villa seemed in the race for awhile, but Adebayor apparently put a nix on that move. I expect a move to go through here, considering he doesn’t have a place in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad. If it isn’t West Ham, I’m not sure where he goes. But, likely he is going somewhere.

Saido Berahino

Talks had cooled on the youngster moving from West Brom, but apparently Tottenham have put in a 2nd bid to gain his services. Harry Kane cannot carry the team for a 2nd season by himself, and this move would take a bit off of his shoulders. Tottenham almost have to have another striker before the window closes, so this move makes a lot of sense. The question now is whether the fee offered is enough for West Brom to let their budding star go.

Closed Doors

Sergio Ramos/Thomas Muller

These guys are not going anywhere. Ramos agreed to a new deal at Real Madrid, while Thomas Muller has all but ruled out a Manchester United move. These moves are dead until another window.
