Following the footsteps of the recent white ACE and X, adidas has outfitted the MESSI 15.1 with a fresh white colorway. Since June 1st, the great Lionel has been sporting his latest boot for Barcelona and Argentina in the launch colorway, Matte Ice Metallic.
The second colorway is White with Prime Blue, and that darker blue on the white base looks tasty. Yellow stud tips remain on the soleplate to add a little pop, as well as the Messi “M” logo on the heel.
If you’re unfamiliar with the tech on the MESSI 15.1, here’s the brief rundown: messiTOUCH, a soft, leather-like material, adorns the upper; messiFRAME is that blue cage-looking part, which keeps your heel area locked in for perfect stability; on the outsole is messiGAMBETRAX, providing a fantastic stud configuration with messiPRINT, the center stud that features the Messi logo.
This is an excellent colorway for Messi to take into his La Liga season, but keep an eye open for other players opting for the living legend’s boot, as we found in our last two Boot Spottings.
Although, based on his late game heroics vs. Mexico recently, I’d say Messi’s new kicks are working out just fine for him.
