Messi is undoubtedly the best player in the world…well if you’re a Messi fan and not a Ronaldo fan. No matter what your opinion on that is, one thing is for certain: Messi is so good that adidas has given him his own signature line of cleats. That’s pretty insane no matter how you look at it. We have seen 3 colorways so far with the Metallic Ice colorway starting things off for the new line from adidas. Then the 10/10 colorway and the White/Blue soon followed. Now adidas has given the Messi 15 the Black/Solar Green/Red colorway for the remainder of the calendar year.
The new colorway features a mainly black upper with red making up the majority of space behind the MessiFrame that keeps you locked in for the entire time you lace up the boots. The main design difference comes in the form of the large “M” Messi logo on the toe box area. The Solar Green color runs up into Red giving it a very unique look. The MessiTouch upper also features a different design on it that is more of a scaly feel rather than the upper on the two standard releases. On the soleplate we find the GameTrax sole plate that can be used on both FG and AG surfaces so it is perfect for any player that plays as many games on FG as they do on artificial ground.
Messi is not the only player who will be wearing the colorway as he backed 10 other players to be successful and he gave them the honor of wearing the Messi cleats when he does and to be the only professionals wearing them. You can read all about the Backed by Messi campaign here.
So what do you guys think of the latest Messi 15.1 colorway? Which of the releases so far has been your favorite?
