Adidas has released a brand new colorway this morning of their extremely popular Primeknit boots. The Ace and X are now going to sport some fresh Black and White colors to create a lovely new look for the adidas lineup. Adidas-contracted professional players have been wearing the newly released colorways for a week or so now. Our expert boot spotter Jordon actually spotted Bayern Munich star David Alaba wearing the X 15+ Primeknit in training.
The new X 15 colorway looks brilliant and the mix of the black/white with a mint green and some pinkish purple laces creates a very smooth look that is easy on the eyes. I would say these are going to sell pretty easily.
The X-CAGE that keeps your foot locked into place is a nice metallic white while the rest of the upper is black. The X changed the game with the new Techfit collar and the thin upper that added some additional grip with NSG (Non-Stop Grip) applied on top.
The Primeknit was originally introduced as a limited edition technology with the Primeknit Samba. Now, we get to see the 2nd X 15+ Primeknit release ever. Players like David Alaba, Arjen Robben, Gareth Bale and many more will wear the new Primeknit release.
The ACE also receives its second ever Primeknit release in the same colorway. Both boots look like winners in my book, but the ACE 15+ takes the cake for me. The split color design we have seen on the majority of ACE releases so far combined a white synthetic back with the all-black Primeknit material. The adidas stripes and ACE branding are the same metallic white color.
The ACE replaced the fan favorite Predator line and had many up in arms over the move. Adidas has created a brilliant boot with the ACE in terms of control and comfort. The ACE Primeknit is no different. Combining the soft touch of a knitted upper, and snug, secure fit, the Primeknit ACE won over many and had us starting to dream of the future of adidas cleats. James Rodriguez, Mesut Özil, and Ivan Rakitic are among the many that love the ACE.
Both boots look absolutely incredible. If you are not a fan of the Primeknit lineup, don’t worry, adidas also released color updates for the standard X and Ace. So whether you love the knitted feel or not, adidas has a sweet new color update for you.
