_ABU4137, 4137Santi Cazorla wears will continue to wear his Arsenal Jersey but will now be rocking the PUMA evoSPEED 1.2.   Previously Cazorla played in the adidas Adipure 11pro, but now according to PUMA in an official press release, that Cozorla has signed a “long-term partnership”.  Cozorla will join Sergio Agüero, Radamel Falcao and Olivier Giround, all of whom are already wearing the eveSPEED.   PUMA believe Cazorla will be “another important asset in PUMA’s global football ‘Nature of Performance’ communication programme”,  I would like to know how much Puma is paying the 2013 tenth ranked player by Bloomberg.  But Cazorla seems to be excited about the move or at least his sponsors are pushing him to be:

“Signing this new partnership with PUMA is an exciting step for me.  I like the people, their ideas for football and I am impressed with their product development. The evoSPEED boots I have chosen to wear are very light and give me a freedom and quickness of movement, which is very important for me to perform at my best. I am pleased the new season is underway and hope I can help my club and national team enjoy a successful year, and I am looking forward to working with PUMA.”

The press release also includes the same old, same old product jargon… Which I will sum up for you:  this shoe is fast, awesome, great, perfect, etc.  And of course PUMA is going to value the partnership, they are paying for it after all:

“Santi Cazorla is such an exciting player to watch.  His awareness of what is going on around him, technical ability and quickness of thought make him a very influential creative midfield player, and he is a wonderful asset for our evoSPEED product silo.  We’re very happy to have him as part of our PUMA football family.” -Christian Voigt, Senior Head of Global Sports Marketing

Of course the shoe change isn’t going to have a major effect on his game, but we’ll see if he gives any other comments about the differences from his previous adidas boots.  Thankfully for all you Arsenal fans, this is just a boot change, and he’ll continue to wear his Arsenal Jersey!
