The Road to Paris
To say that this year’s Champions League tournament has been electric wouldn’t even do it justice. In the knockout stages we had absolutely everything an elite tournament should have. From fights between Atletico Madrid and Man City (and some Jack Grealish hair pulling), to the drama that Villarreal provided by upsetting the German powerhouse, Bayern Munich, and nearly doing the same to Liverpool in the first half the second leg of the Semi Final! But it just wouldn’t be worth it if the road to Paris wasn’t paved in drama, excitement, and a pinch of controversy.
Liverpool
Thankfully for them, Liverpool has a bountiful resource of players that can all change a game. At the same time, there have been some shaky moments fro the Reds that leave some questions as to which side will show up. Whether it is Mo Salah and his classy finishing or fresh signing Luis Diaz tearing it up on the wing going forward. Other than some shaky defending, Liverpool look like they are up for the Cup this year.
Real Madrid
Even though Benzema has been on fire this year, Madrid have had to scrape by on a number of occasions against really good opposition. Not to mention the Semi Final against Man City, where they came back from two large deficits to come back and win in extra time 6-5 on aggregate score. Madrid have knocked off PSG, Chelsea, and now are into the Final in Paris after finishing Manchester City. Grab some Real Madrid gear and get psyched for the final!
