After an exciting run with the X Speedportal, adidas is keeping us on our toes and on the cutting edge of speed technology with the all new adidas X Crazyfast. The Crazyfast is the latest pair of updated boots from adidas that feature some of the most game changing technology for speed unlike ever before.

Prior to the launch of the X Crazyfast, adidas gave us a teaser of the updated boots with the X Crazylight. The exciting new boots featured the style and technology that would later be mirrored in the all new Crazyfast. While this drop was extremely limited, it gave us a look into the future of the X silo and what is to come.

What’s New?

So you may be asking yourself, what is different about the X Crazyfast? Let’s dive deep into the updated adidas boots and see what adidas how adidas is once again changing the game.

Unlike previous iterations of the X, the Crazyfast features three elite level styles so you can get the best of the best in the laced or laceless styles you prefer. However, this go around the + model of the boots is only featured in a laced design, but with the most powerful and speedy technology at the lightest weight ever for the almighty X.

Perhaps the biggest update to the boots is adidas’ high powered SPEEDFRAME sole plate. This updated sole plate replaces the carbon fiber sole plate of the Speedportal and uses the all new AEROPLATE, making the boots 5 grams lighter than the previous iteration of the boots. A lightweight plate now gives you enhanced comfort and responsiveness  while bringing you the same features you loved from the X Speedportal. An updated stud pattern works hard to enhance your traction in the boots so take off and landing is more stable and dynamic than ever before.


The .1 iterations of the boots now feature Aerocage, a highly engineered lining that gives you support and stability by hugging your midfoot. AEROPACITY SPEEDSKIN uses a single layer of monomesh that is extremely breathable to give you comfort throughout the boots while offering you a closer foot-to-ball feeling. This version also features an adaptive PRIMEKNIT collar that gives players the familiar foot-hugging feeling that the X Speedportal brought for more comfort and undisturbed contact on the ball. As we previously mentioned, the .1 features a laced and laceless styles, so players can rock these the way they want.

While the .1 versions of the boots offer some pretty impressive technology, the + brings you even more high powered tech that never slows you down. AEROPACITY SPEEDSKIN+ molds to the shape of your foot with a single layer of material and pairs with AEROCAGE+ to optimize the light weight feeling of the boots while locking you down for stability at the highest speeds of the game. The + version now sports a floating tongue construction that uses superlight laces for a more stable and locked down feeling in the boots.
