Man City's Off-season
Manchester City are reigning Premier League champions after a very up and down EPL season. The Citizens have not quite been as active as they have been in the past few summers. Manchester City have signed only 3 players for a combined 18 million euros so far this summer. Bacary Sagna who signed for free from Arsenal seems to have taken the place of young right back Micah Richards who appears to be on his way out of the club on loan. The arrival of Fernando appears to have filled up any holes left by Gareth Barry in the midfield as he can play a defensive midfielder role alongside Yaya Toure and Fernandinho. Costel Pantilimon meant that City were in the market for a keeper who could challenge Joe Hart. Willy Cabellero signed for City and is making a case for him to be the first choice keeper very quickly. City seem to be very close to finalizing the transfer of FC Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala for 32 million euros. Mangala will shore up the defense that lost Joleon Lescott to West Brom.
City seem to be set to compete again for the Premier League title again by keeping a solid squad and having smart transfers to fill any holes in the squad.
