Is Bayern Bad for the Bundesliga?
German soccer has without a doubt been a one-horse race for the last few seasons with Bayern Munich winning the last two Bundesliga titles. But is this domination from FC Bayern bad for the league as a whole? Bayern provides Champions League credibility, a large fanbase, and feature most of the German national team on the roster. So why would they be bad for the league?
Bayern had stiff competition from Dortmund a few seasons back and what was their response? Purchasing the two stars over the next two seasons and stacking more and more talent into the club. Bayern rule over the Bundesliga and crush any opponent that seemingly has any shot to take them down. Now there is some light at the end of the tunnel for Bundesliga fans. Dortmund have been able to keep hold of Marco Reus, the star player that all the top clubs want. Then there are Bayern Leverkusen and VFL Wolfsburg, who could both be dominant forces in the league with young talents and have shown signs of brilliance this season.
